Our Approach to ESG
Hafnia has performed an ESG materiality assessment to prioritise sustainability issues mattering most to our businesses and stakeholders. We engaged internal and external stakeholders on rating the importance of relevant ESG issues and developed our materiality matrix.

Our Corporate Strategy
Sustainability is at the heart of our Corporate Strategy. We implement initiatives reducing our environmental impact relating to emissions and ecosystem protection. Diversity and safety of our employees is at the forefront of everything we do.
ESG strategy at Hafnia is anchored with our Board of Directors and the Leadership Group.
Ownership and responsibility to drive actions across 19 materiality issues is led by business heads, supported by our ESG function to ensure alignment.
Safety and sustainability are embedded in our performance culture. We measure individual performance in a holistic way across two dimensions: business delivery through KPIs and how we deliver through behaviour.
Our CEO and CFO have ESG related KPIs assessed on a bi-yearly basis.

Achieve 2023 diversity targets in accordance with the All Aboard Alliance

We act as a responsible industry leader. The path to decarbonisation includes on-going strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including shipyards, charterers, bunker suppliers and regulatory bodies.
We foster and encourage innovation to develop new ideas to exceed stakeholders’ needs.
We use and are co-developing COACH, a vessel monitoring performance and weather routing system.
We have invested in SmartShip, a cloud-based solution collecting live data from vessels, to optimise operational efficiency.
This collaboration developing LNG fueled vessels is an example of our strategic alliance with customers to future proof operations.
