Mikael Skov is Chief Executive Officer, a role he assumed in 2019 after the merger between Hafnia Tankers and BW Tankers. Mr Skov was the co-founder and CEO of Hafnia Tankers and has more than 32 years of experience in the shipping industry. Prior to establishing Hafnia Tankers, Mr Skov held various positions over his 25-year career at Torm, of which the last two years he served as CEO. Mr Skov is a board member of Clipper Group Ltd. and was an industry representative of the Danish Maritime Strategy Team established by the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. Mr Skov is also on the Members’ Committee of Skuld, an International P&I Club. Mr Skov is a Danish citizen, and resides in Monaco.
Perry Van Echtelt

Perry van Echtelt is Chief Financial Officer, a role he assumed in early 2019 after the merger between Hafnia Tankers and BW Tankers. Mr Van Echtelt has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and ship finance. Prior to Hafnia, Mr Van Echtelt was CFO of BW Tankers from 2017, a role he took after leaving ABN AMRO Bank as Head of Transportation and Logistics Asia Pacific & Middle East. For 17 years Mr Van Echtelt had held various positions in the corporate finance and capital markets group of ABN AMRO and its predecessors (MeesPierson and Fortis Bank). Prior to joining MeesPierson, he worked for Gilde Investments from 1998 until 2000. Mr Van Echtelt has been involved in numerous M&A transactions, advisory mandates and debt and equity raising transaction across various industries including the shipping sector. Mr Van Echtelt is a Dutch citizen, and has resided in Singapore since 2013.

Jens Christophersen is Executive Vice President, Commercial of the Hafnia MR Pool, a role he assumed in 2019 after the merger between Hafnia Tankers and BW Tankers. Mr Christophersen has more than 25 years of experience in tanker chartering across all product segments. Mr Christophersen began his career as a trainee at A.P. Møller Maersk in 1992 and left as Chartering Manager after eight years. He had held various senior positions, including 12 years at Norient Product Pool A/S as General Manager, before joining BW Tankers in 2016. Mr Christophersen is a Danish citizen and resides in Denmark.
Søren Steenberg Jensen

Soren Steenberg Jensen is Executive Vice President, Asset Management. Mr Steenberg Jensen has more than 20 years of experience in ship owning, chartering and operations and is one of the original partners of Hafnia Tankers and Hafnia Management A/S. Prior to his current role, Mr Steenberg Jensen was Vice President, Projects and Sale & Purchase of Hafnia Tankers, a role he took after returning from Singapore where he was CEO of the Hafnia/Mitsui OSK joint venture company Straits Tankers Pte Ltd. Prior to Hafnia Tankers, Mr Steenberg Jensen worked at Torm A/S for 10 years in various commercial roles, before leaving as Vice President, Chartering. Prior to Torm A/S, he held various positions in operations and chartering at A.P. Møller Maersk. Mr. Steenberg Jensen is a Danish citizen, and has resided in Monaco since 2019.
EVP, Technical | Singapore
Ralph Juhl is Executive Vice President, Technical. Mr Juhl has over 36 years of experience in shipping. He began his career in 1983 as an Ordinary Seaman, and came on shore in 1997 as a Master Mariner. On shore, Mr Juhl held various technical positions in safety and quality, crewing, and technical organization strategy and development. From 2010, Mr Juhl was instrumental in establishing two shipping companies, Evergas and Hafnia Tankers, where he was responsible for fleet technical operations, newbuilding programs and technical projects. Mr Juhl is a Danish citizen and has resided in Singapore since 2019.
Andreas Sohmen-Pao is Chairman of the Board. He is also Chairman of BW Group, BW Offshore, BW LPG, and Singapore Maritime Foundation. He is also a non-executive director of Singapore National Parks Board, and a trustee of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation. Mr Sohmen-Pao was previously Chief Executive Officer of BW Group. He has also served as a non-executive director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd, The London P&I Club, The Esplanade Co Ltd, Sport Singapore and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore amongst others. Mr Sohmen-Pao is a citizen of Austria and resides in Singapore.
John Ridgway has over 48 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas shipping industry. Mr Ridgway is a qualified Master Mariner, and had held various executive roles in shipping over the course of his career, culminating in eight years as CEO of BP Shipping (the transportation arm of BP), where he ran a fleet of 80 owned and operated vessels, over 200 chartered vessels, and oversaw more than 2000 staff involved in procurement, safety, compliance, operations and commercial management. He also had several corporate roles within the BP Group. Mr Ridgway is a former chairman of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) and the Marine Preservation Association; former president of the API Marine Committee, and former director of other commercial organizations and industry bodies such as Britannia P&I Insurance, Alaska Tanker Company, ITOPF and the UK Chamber of Shipping. He is a chartered Marine Technician and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering. Presently, Mr Ridgway is Chairman of Tindall Riley (Britannia) Ltd., and a Director of the Tindall Riley Ltd. Mr Ridgway is a UK citizen and lives outside London.
Peter Read qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) in 1979. Mr Read began his career at KPMG where he worked for 37 years from 1976 to 2013. Having started out in audit, he also specialized in due diligence and financial reporting. Mr Read became a partner in 1990, and specialized in Shipping and Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) sectors. In 1996 Mr Read became Head of the UK Shipping Practice and in 2003 he became Head of the UK TMT Practice. In 2008, Mr Read was appointed to the roles of Chairman of UK TMT at KPMG and of their European Japanese Practice, both of which he held until he retired from the partnership in 2013. Presently, Mr Read is a non-executive director for, and chairs the Audit Committees of, several entities including Welbeck Publishing Ltd, QMM Ltd & QM Capital Partners Ltd, Concha Plc, the Professional Cricketers’ Association, the Royal Automobile Club, the RAC Motorsports Association, the RAC Foundation and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Mr Read is a UK citizen and resides in London.
Erik Bartnes has since 2010 been focusing on his own investments through his investment company Castel AS. Prior to Castel AS, Mr Bartnes was co-founder of Pareto AS until 2010 and a senior partner of Pareto AS from 1988 to 2010. Mr Bartnes served as the Chairman of the Board of Pareto AS until April 2013, was co-founder and executive Chairman of Hafnia Tankers until 2018 and was Chairman of Pareto Invest AS. Presently, Mr Bartnes serves as Chairman of the Board of Christiania Shipping A/S, Director of the Board of Ulstein Group and several investment companies. Mr Bartnes is a Norwegian citizen and resides in Oslo.
Ouma Sananikone is currently a non-executive director of Innergex (Canada, TSX: INE), Ivanhoe Cambridge (Canada), and Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation (USA, NYSE: MIC). Ms Sananikone has extensive experience in finance, particularly investment management, covering all asset classes including private equity, infrastructure and real estate, having spent over 30 years in the industry at both executive and board levels. She was CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management (Australia), CEO of the EquitiLink Group (Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and UK) as well as Founding Managing Director of BNP Investment Management (Australia). Other senior positions include Managing Director at Rothschild Asset Management (Australia), Managing Director at BT Financial Services (Westpac Group) and Managing Director, Corporate Strategy and Investments, at NRMA in Australia. She was previously Chairman of Smarte Carte (USA) and of EvolutionMedia (Australia) and recently retired from a non-executive directorship of the Caisse de Depot et Placement de Quebec (Canada) after serving the maximum term of ten years. She was also formerly on the board of Icon Parking (USA), Air-Serve Holdings (USA), Moto Hospitality Ltd (UK), State Super Corporation of NSW (Australia) and Babcock and Brown Direct Investment Fund (Australia). She also acted as an honorary Australian Financial Services fellow for the USA on behalf of the Australian government. Ms Sananikone has always been committed to the community, serving as a board director of a number of arts, education and charitable organizations, among them the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. Ms Sananikone holds a BA (economics and political sciences) from the Australian National University and a Master of Commerce (economics) from the University of New South Wales. She is a recipient of the Centenary Medal from the Australian Government for services to the Australian finance industry. Ms Sananikone holds dual citizenship (UK/US) and she resides in New York.
